Traitor
In the event that aliens invade the Earth I plan to immediately betray mankind to the alien invaders. Any space-faring civilization would be so far beyond us technologically that resistance would be a joke. Fuck Independence Day, Jeff Goldblum can't save us, no one can. We're doomed and everything we've done is for naught. The aliens would start kicking our asses and only stop kicking them when all asses have been kicked to smithereens. So I might as well get on the winning team.
Being on the winning team is not the only reason I would betray mankind. The fact is that mankind has been pretty much a total disappointment for me. Sure I live in the most advanced era, in the richest country in human history, but so much more is possible and mankind has wasted about every opportunity possible at every turn throughout human history, it's depressing. It continues today, we have the stupidest troglodytes imaginable wasting resources and energy on the stupidest shit possible.
Politics is just the worst cesspool of worthless shit I can imagine and I would like nothing better than to see politicians slaughtered by alien invaders ala Mars Attacks. What a bunch of pricks, serves them right.
Religion/Faith, anyone who thinks that science vs religion is a real debate will be shocked to learn that their beliefs don't mean shit in the face of an invading alien armada. Aliens aren't going to kill us with faith and your faith is no match for advanced weaponry. Science wins.
Greed is the worst, through greed unspeakable atrocities have been committed. In the quest for profits we repeatedly see the greed of individuals and corporations victimizing millions of people with almost no consequence. The Earth produces enough food to feed everyone but greed lets billions go hungry, lets millions starve and causes tens of thousands of people to die every day. I will laugh when those without mercy beg for it.
Nationalism/Patriotism are both things that don't mean shit in the face of an invading alien armada. In space no one can hear you scream, a lesser known fact is that in space no one gives a shit about territory some evolved apes call theirs, even if they use a proper noun to do it.
Racism/Sexism is something that still exists today, in the 21st century, and I have no fucking clue why. We know enough and information is readily available detailing why racism is nonsense and yet people seem to be under the impression that blatant and willful ignorance is a competition that can have a victor.
Traditions are somehow sacred pillars of society at any given point in time even though human history is just a never ending example about how transient traditions are. Yet for some reason everyone who champions tradition seems to think that the traditions that they champion have been permanent fixtures throughout human history and should remain so for all time. It doesn't matter how easily such beliefs are refuted. If there is one absolute truth on this Earth it's that facts in the face of belief are meaningless.
And those are just some of the reasons why I would have to, in good conscience, betray mankind to alien invaders.
