There once was a time where I too had to consult the wizards or various practitioners of the occult to repair my computer. Eventually though I became a wizard in my own right and for a while I enjoyed showing off to peasants where ever they could be found.
I think there is a point in every young computer nerd's life when they realize a fact. Fixing the mundane problems of normal users is not fun or entertaining. I had this realization years ago and I find myself fighting an uphill battle trying to convince people that I've never heard of Microsoft or that I'm just quoting cheesy hacker movies like Hackers without really having a clue what I am saying. I have mixed success.
